Who owns Iron Lore Gym?
Iron Lore is locally owned and operated by Aaron and Eleni Gausvik — spouses who live and breathe the fitness industry. Aaron has over 30 years of experience and is an active lifter on the gym floor every single day. This is not a franchise. There are no corporate shareholders.
Is Iron Lore a bodybuilding gym?
We carry the biomechanically superior equipment — Atlantis, Prime, and others — that bodybuilders love, but we have stripped away the ego. Iron Lore is a place where beginners, women, and dedicated athletes all feel equally at home. We bring the best tools in the world to the masses.
I am a beginner. Will I feel intimidated?
Never. While our equipment is professional-grade, our atmosphere is incredibly welcoming. Our no-ego culture ensures everyone is respected regardless of experience level. At Iron Lore, everyone is here for the same reason: to get better.
Why do you focus so much on biomechanics?
Because how a machine moves matters for your results and your joints. Aaron hand-picks every piece of equipment based on how it actually fits the human body and matches its natural strength curves — not because it came in a cheap brand package.
Is Iron Lore Beaumont staffed?
Iron Lore Beaumont is a fully self-serve facility — there are no on-site staff. Access is 24/7 via our secure mobile app and fob-entry system. Personal trainers are available by appointment.
Where is Iron Lore Gym Beaumont located?
We are located in Bryant Heritage Plaza at 5305 Magasin Ave #102, Beaumont, AB T4X 1V8 — just south of Edmonton. Ample free parking is available on site.
Why is the Beaumont location called a "Private Sanctuary"?
We designed Beaumont for the person who wants to escape the noise. It is a quiet, machine-focused environment with no CrossFit and no crowds. It is a space where you can focus entirely on your training without the distractions of a typical public gym.
Is there a waitlist for the Beaumont location?
Currently there is no waitlist. However, because we prioritize the training environment and privacy of our current members, every new member goes through an approval process rather than an instant sign-up.
How do I get started with a Beaumont membership?
It is simple: visit our membership page and select your plan, complete your purchase, and once our team reviews and approves your application you are ready to go. The whole process is handled online — no in-person appointment required.
Why is there an approval process for new members?
We are not a volume gym. We want to ensure that every person who joins Iron Lore aligns with our culture of respect and cleanliness. The approval process helps us maintain the high standard our current members expect.
How do I physically get into the Beaumont gym once approved?
You use the Iron Lore Gym mobile app. Your phone becomes your digital key, giving you instant, secure access to the facility 24/7/365. The app unlocks the door when you are at the entrance — fast, reliable, and available only to active approved members.
Can I drop in for a tour of the Beaumont location?
To protect the privacy and focus of our members, we do not allow unannounced tours or drop-ins. Since the facility is unstaffed, only approved members with active app access can enter the building.
Is the Beaumont location safe without on-site staff?
Absolutely. The private model works because of our member approval process and 24/7 surveillance. Because every person in the building has been vetted and holds a digital key, there is a high level of mutual accountability and safety.
Is there a CrossFit area at the Beaumont location?
No. Beaumont is strictly focused on machine-based strength training to keep the atmosphere quiet and focused. The Edmonton location will feature a full functional training zone for those who want that variety.
What visitor pass options are available?
We offer two visitor passes: a One Day Pass for a single visit, and a 10-Day Punch Pass for ten full days of access at your own pace. No membership required.
Can I pay for my Gym Membership in instalments?
Yes. The membership can be paid in full at a lower total price, or you can spread the cost with biweekly payments over the course of the year. The payment plan is slightly more expensive overall but requires no large upfront payment.
Does Iron Lore Beaumont offer personal training?
Yes. Our team is made up of dedicated lifters who practice exactly what they preach. No weekend-course trainers — just proven methods from experts who have been exactly where you are. We offer 1-on-1 and semi-private sessions by appointment. All personal training clients are required to hold an active membership.
How do I cancel or manage my Gym Membership?
Your membership and payment schedule can be managed through your member portal. Please contact us directly for any questions about your contract or billing.
Is Iron Lore Gym Beaumont good for women?
Absolutely. Over 60% of our membership is women — and that does not happen by accident. We obsess over cleanliness, enforce a strict culture of respect, and have created an environment where women feel safe, comfortable, and empowered to train at any hour of the day or night.
Will I have to wait for equipment at Iron Lore Beaumont?
No. We intentionally manage our membership numbers so you never have to fight for a machine or wait in line. We are not the cheapest gym in town, and we do not want to be — budget gyms rely on overcrowding to survive. We rely on quality.
How clean is Iron Lore Gym?
Cleanliness is non-negotiable at Iron Lore. This gym is our home and we treat it that way. We hold ourselves to a higher standard than the industry norm and our members consistently cite cleanliness as one of the top reasons they stay.
Who selects the equipment at Iron Lore?
Our owners hand-pick every single machine based on personal use and biomechanical performance — not spreadsheets or generic supplier packages. We know how a machine needs to feel to target the muscle correctly. Every piece of equipment in our gym was chosen by people who actually train.
What brands of equipment do you carry?
We feature world-class brands like Atlantis Strength and Prime Fitness — industry leaders known for superior engineering, biomechanical accuracy, and a feel you simply cannot find in standard commercial gym packages.
Why do you not buy generic equipment packages?
Most gyms buy everything from one supplier to get a bulk discount. We do not. Aaron hand-selects the best leg press from one brand and the best chest press from another. Every piece on our floor earned its place because it is the best tool for that specific movement.
How do you keep the equipment in such good condition?
Because the owners are active lifters themselves, they notice the second a cable feels off or a pad needs replacing. We are not a corporate chain — we fix things immediately. You will not see "Out of Order" signs at Iron Lore sitting for weeks.
Do you have a filming policy?
We prioritize the privacy of our members. Filming that interferes with another member's workout or privacy is strictly not permitted. We love seeing your progress, but not at the expense of someone else's comfort.
