Aaron and Eleni Gausvik: Building a Community
Aaron and Eleni Gausvik moved to Beaumont, Alberta, from Edmonton in 2007 and have proudly called it home ever since. As passionate local entrepreneurs, they found themselves with vacant commercial space in 2020 when the pandemic hit. With gyms closed due to government shutdowns, Aaron, Eleni, and their friends were unable to train. To overcome this challenging time, they decided to convert their vacant space into a private gym for themselves and their closest friends.
From Private Gym to Community Hub
Word about their exceptional gym spread quickly, leading to rapid growth in their gym family. Within a year, they expanded to a second bay, doubling the gym’s size. Initially, they capped membership at 50 to ensure a quality experience. After the expansion, they raised the cap to 200 members, maintaining the same level of exclusivity and personalized attention.
Commitment to Reinvestment
At Iron Lore Gym, each member is carefully handpicked, ensuring that our private gym remains a unique and special place for our community. Aaron and Eleni reinvest back into the gym every year, making sure expenses are covered, and everything else is poured back into enhancing the gym and supporting the community they love. Their main source of income comes from various entrepreneurial endeavors, making Iron Lore Gym a true passion project.
